My previous internships and workplaces included John F. Kennedy University Community Counseling Center, Pleasant Hill, Bay Area Psychotherapy Services and Oak Creek Counseling Center, Berkeley, Canaan Place, a group home for adolescent girls in Berkeley, and Holden High School, Orinda.

I hold an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, Pleasant Hill, and I also received an M.A. in German and Comparative Literature from Ludwig-Maximilian University, Munich.

I grew up in Germany and Brazil and have lived in the Bay Area for over 30 years. Through having lived in many places, I am greatly in tune with the challenges of building a new life in a new environment and can conduct therapy in English and German.

Bio:
My approach to therapy:

I use a relational framework which means that my work with my clients focuses on relationship.
We will explore the relationships between you and the people in your life – friends, partners, children, parents, siblings, co-workers, bosses.
We will also explore the relationship you have with yourself, as well as the relationship that develops between us over time.
Our first goal will be to understand your experience in the world and learn about
your inner world together.
Through this process, you will have the opportunity to gain greater emotional awareness and
psychological development, which can strengthen your sense of confidence, self-acceptance, and responsibility in daily life.
The purpose of our work together will be to offer you the opportunity to develop a greater capacity for intimacy and experience more meaning and pleasure in your life.
